What does the Makita factory warranty cover?

The Makita warranty provides you with 3 years of coverage for machines, 2 years for Li-ion batteries and chargers. Please note: the extended warranty does not apply to flashlights, tools with combustion engines (petrol), pneumatic tools, compressors, and gas-powered tools.


What does the additional Klium Warranty offer?

At Klium, you can enjoy warranty coverage for your Makita power tools for up to 5 years. After successful registration with the manufacturer, you'll receive an additional 2 years of Klium Warranty as a gift, allowing you to work worry-free for a total of up to 5 years. The additional Klium warranty follows the same terms as those of the manufacturer. The Klium warranty is valid for Makita purchases from 02/07/2018 that were successfully registered with the manufacturer.


How do you claim the warranty?

Register your Makita machine within 30 days of receipt via your free 'My Makita' account. If you have a faulty machine, contact Klium customer service and follow the return instructions for safe shipping.

When returning items for warranty or repair requests, some safety regulations must be followed. These regulations are in place to ensure the safety of technicians and logistics personnel. Failure to follow them may result in additional charges, starting from a minimum of €25. To avoid such additional and unnecessary costs, please follow the safety regulations listed below.

Specific safety regulations apply when returning vacuum cleaners and fuel-powered machines:

  • Vacuum cleaners: remove the dust bag
  • Fuel-powered machines: remove fuel and oil from the reservoir
