Inspection cameras for pipes, cavities and ductwork
An inspection camera puts a lens where an eye cannot go: inside a drain, a wall cavity, a gearbox housing or a duct run, without cutting an access hole first. Head diameter is the first constraint, because it sets the smallest opening you can enter.
Heads around 8 to 9 mm follow conduit and small bore pipe, 17 mm suits general building work, and 25 mm heads carry brighter lighting and a wider field for drainage. Next comes the cable. A gooseneck holds its shape in a cavity, while rigid push cable drives tens of metres along a pipe run and is the only realistic option below ground.
Then the display: fixed screens keep the tool simple, detachable monitors record stills and video for a report, and 360 degree heads take the guesswork out of orientation. Cordless machines run on the same 12V and 18V packs as the rest of the site kit. Pair one with a material detector before you drill, and a thermal imaging camera when the fault is heat or moisture rather than something visible.
