Nozzles and accessories for heating and cooling material

Heating and cooling brings together the accessories used to put heat into a workpiece in a controlled way, or to take it back out. Most of it consists of nozzles for hot air guns: reducing nozzles that concentrate the air stream to 9 mm or 20 mm, flat nozzles of 50 x 33.5 mm and 75 x 33.5 mm for heating a wider area evenly, and adapter nozzles that let you fit a gun with a different neck size.

The choice follows from the operation. Heat shrink sleeving, stripping paint and releasing glued parts call for a wide, spread air stream. Soldering, bending plastic pipe and freeing seized bolts call for a narrow, concentrated jet instead. Always check that the nozzle neck fits the make and type of gun you work with, because Bosch, Makita, Metabo and HiKOKI do not use the same connection size.
