The joint sides should be parallel and free of construction dirt and/or cement residue. When unrolling Souda tape, take at least 1 cm extra. In the case of vertical joints, start at the bottom by placing the Soudaband. Fix the swelling tape by pressing the self-adhesive side against a joint side using a putty knife. After application, the pre-compressed band will swell, causing it to press against the joint flanks, thus filling the joint, with any unevenness. When buttressing two Soudaband ends, it is important that they are flush on the visible side and that the two ends are firmly connected.
