Makita 18V LXT cordless angle grinders, orbital sanders and diamond grinders

Makita cordless angle grinders, sanders and diamond grinders are the battery machines for cutting and working metal and stone and for sanding wood and board, with no extension lead on site or on the roof. The category runs mainly on 18V LXT, with heavier versions on 2x18V and 40Vmax XGT.

On an angle grinder, disc size sets the work. The 125 mm grinder is the standard for cutting, deburring and cleaning welds; for thick tube and stone there is a 2x18V grinder of 230 mm. Also look at the controls, a slide switch or a spoon switch, and at the X-LOCK mount that changes the disc without a key.

For sanding there are 125 mm random orbital sanders and orbital sanders for corners and edges. A 125 mm diamond grinder works concrete and stone dry or wet, and an 8 mm die grinder handles small details and welds. Many models come without battery and charger or in a MAKPAC case. Grinding and sanding is one branch of Makita battery tools, and the same battery runs the cordless drills and combi hammers by Makita.
