Hand brush for cleaning and maintenance

Facom Keep On Rolling

A hand brush is the tool for taking loose dirt, swarf, dust and deposit off places a machine cannot reach. Fibre hardness decides what you use it for. Soft polyester bristles pick up fine dust and powder without scratching painted or stainless surfaces. Medium bristles tackle stuck residue, dried grease and caked dirt and hold their shape longer under pressure. Nylon fibres with a metal core down the middle are meant for stubborn work on rough material.

Look at working length when you choose. Models of 90 to 165 mm work accurately around machine parts, grooves and profiles, while 230 to 330 mm covers more surface per stroke on benches and floors.

In a food or laboratory environment, brushes are often assigned to a zone by colour, so dirt does not travel from one room to the next.

Round the cleaning out with a window squeegee for wet surfaces, and look at the rest of the cleaning material for handled and floor work.
