Grade 6 D-shackles for heavy-duty lifting and rigging

D-shackles are fundamental connecting components in lifting, rigging and load-securing operations. Used to link wire rope slings, chain assemblies and lifting points, they provide a secure, inspectable connection that withstands dynamic loads in industrial and construction environments.

This range features Grade 6 (G6) D-shackles with breast bolt closure, available in sizes from 7/16 inch through to 1 inch. Working load limits span from 1500 kg for lighter rigging tasks up to 8500 kg for heavy structural lifts, giving you the right capacity for each connection point in your lift plan. The breast bolt design allows secure pin retention under load while remaining straightforward to assemble and inspect on site.

When selecting a D-shackle, always match the working load limit to the planned load and account for dynamic factors, sling angles and environmental conditions. Check that the pin diameter corresponds to the eye or thimble of your sling, and verify that the shackle body fits the lifting point geometry. Regular visual inspection before each lift ensures safe, compliant rigging operations.
