T-handle socket spanners and hex keys with a cross grip

A T-handle key puts the force where you need it. The cross grip lets you turn with both hands and keeps the shaft square on the bolt, even when you cannot see the joint. That makes it fast on repeat work on machines, on chassis and inside switch cabinets, where a ratchet asks for too much swing room.

The versions differ mainly in the head and in the length. Socket spanners with a T grip cover widths across flats from around 7 mm to 13 mm, and the same grips exist with a hex blade for internal hex. Overall length, here around 160 mm to 230 mm, decides how deep you reach into a recess and how much torque you get by hand. A two-component grip gives hold with greasy hands and spreads the pressure across the palm, which counts on a long run of bolts.

For work on live parts there are insulated versions rated to 1000V. For loose work with interchangeable sockets a nut driver is often more practical, and the wider keys category sits one level up.
