Reliable timber fixing with Spax

Practical benefits

Secure drive with no slip: The T-STAR plus T20 recess prevents cam-out and ensures you apply torque with complete control.
Reduced risk of splitting: Thanks to the 4CUT point, you drive screws smoothly into timber without tearing fibres.
Lasting protection against corrosion: The WIROX surface coating protects the steel screw effectively against wear and environmental exposure.

In a nutshell

The right choise for

With the Spax chipboard screw 4.5 x 40 mm, you achieve strong and dependable timber fixings every time. The full thread delivers maximum pull-out resistance along its entire length, making it ideal for securing hardware, mdf, and chipboard panels. The t-star plus T20 drive eliminates bit slippage and transfers torque smoothly into the fastener. Featuring a countersunk multi head, the screw sits neatly flush with the surface, while the 4CUT point prevents timber from splitting. In addition, the chromium-VI-free wirox coating provides significantly higher corrosion resistance than standard zinc-plated steel for lasting interior finishing work.
