Metabo reducing ring

A Metabo reducing ring adapts the bore of a saw blade or disc to a smaller spindle on the machine. That way a joiner or fitter uses the same blade on a machine with a different spindle size, without the blade having play or running out of true.

When choosing, look at three dimensions, all of them given in the product title. The first is the outer diameter, 20 or 30 mm: it must match the bore of the blade. The second is the thickness, 1.2 or 1.6 mm, which has to suit the blade. The third is the inner diameter, 16, 20 or 25 mm, which must fit the spindle of your machine.

If in doubt, measure both the bore of the blade and the spindle of the machine before you pick a ring. A well-fitting ring gives smooth running and a clean cut, and avoids the vibration that wears out both blade and machine.
