Gardena suction units, suction hoses and floating suction ball

These accessories connect a Gardena pump to the water source: suction hoses, suction units and a floating suction ball to draw water from a rain barrel, well or pond for irrigation, or to pump spaces dry.

The length of the suction hose depends on the distance and height difference between pump and water. Suction hoses and suction sets run from 3.5 m to 7 m. The 4 m suction hose in 25 mm (1") has a 33.3 mm (G1") connection nut that screws onto the pump inlet. A suction unit supplies hose and suction piece as one assembly, in 4 m or 7 m, ready to connect to the pump.

The floating suction ball keeps the suction opening just below the water surface, where the water is cleanest and sediment stays on the bottom. For a struck source there is a dedicated suction hose, and a telescopic pipe extension matches the length of a rainwater tank pump to the depth of the tank. The pumps themselves are in the range of Gardena pumps.
