Frame fixing screws for anchoring frames without a plug

A frame fixing screw anchors a window or door frame straight into the surrounding masonry or timber without a separate plug, which keeps the fixing line clean and takes a step out of the installation. The long shank passes through the frame section and bites into the substrate behind it, so the frame can be drawn up square and adjusted on the packers before the head is finally seated.

Diameter is standardised at 7.5 mm and length is what you choose: enough to reach solid material behind the reveal, allowing for packers and the insulation layer. Head shape follows the detail. A countersunk head pulls flush into a pre-drilled frame and disappears under a cover cap, while a cylinder head bears on the surface and suits steel or reinforced sections. A torx drive is standard here because it carries high torque to the end of a long screw without cam-out.

Check the substrate first, since hollow block and old brick need deeper embedment than concrete. Part of the wider screws range, next to timber construction screws for structural joints.
