Floor marking tape for walkways and zones

Floor marking tape draws the lines that divide a working floor. Walkways, pallet positions, safety zones around machines and the clear space in front of an extinguisher or emergency exit get their boundary from a strip of tape instead of paint, so the layout moves with the fit-out and nothing has to dry. Colour carries the meaning. Plain colours separate zones and categories, while a black and yellow striped band announces a hazard or an obstacle.

Agree the colour coding before the first roll goes down, because a system that changes halfway does more harm than good. Width follows from the function. A narrow strip marks the outline of a cabinet or a workbench, a wide band bounds a traffic lane that has to be recognisable from a distance. Common widths run from 14 to 101.60 mm. Look as well at wear resistance and the adhesive, because a lane forklifts turn on asks for a thicker vinyl than a walkway, and corners always wear first.

For arrows, dots and footprints, look at floor sticker.
