Single Festool drill bits: countersinks, centring drills, hardware and dowel drills

Single Festool drill bits are made for joiners and interior fitters who need holes of a fixed shape and depth: countersunk screw holes, hinge holes and holes for dowels. Most of the bits have a CENTROTEC interface or an 8 mm shank.

A countersink with a CENTROTEC interface drills the pilot hole and the countersink in one movement and fits cordless drill/drivers with that system. The diameter (3.5, 4, 4.5 or 5 mm) follows the screw you use, and replacement drills keep the countersink usable once the bit is blunt. For cross holes there are separate cross-hole countersink bits in two size ranges. Hardware drills with an 8 mm shank, from 15 to 35 mm, bore hinge cups and fittings in cabinet doors and furniture panels. Dowel drill bits with a carbide cutting edge make well-fitting holes for wooden dowels.
