Facom analogue calipers reading 1/20th and 1/50th, also for brake discs

Facom analogue calipers measure outside, inside and depth dimensions on a vernier scale, with no battery or display, which makes them a fixed item in the workshop and in maintenance. The choice comes down to measuring length, reading accuracy and application.

For general work a 150 mm universal caliper reading to 1/20th is enough. If you need more precision, choose a model with a 1/50th vernier in class 0, the stricter accuracy class. For larger workpieces there is a 300 mm universal caliper, also reading to 1/50th. Alongside these sits a caliper made specifically for measuring brake discs, so disc thickness can be checked quickly against the wear limit.

Match the measuring length to the largest dimension you check regularly and choose the vernier according to the tolerances of the job. A brake disc caliper adds to the car workshop's kit; it does not replace a universal caliper. These calipers are part of the Facom analogue measuring instruments, which also include Facom mechanical outside micrometers reading to 1/100 mm for finer measurements.
