For a passenger car, a 3t jack already leaves a comfortable margin.

A jack is for lifting, not for holding. Set the vehicle down on axle stands before you work underneath it, as with the set that pairs a 3.2t jack with 3t axle stands with a rack. The inflatable door opener slides flat between a door and its frame and is then pumped up to create a small gap, for example for adjusting or aligning.
