Product description
OK 53.16 Spezial is a double-coated basic low-hydrogen electrode for welding unalloyed and fine-grained steels. The electrode combines the user-friendly welding characteristics of a rutile electrode with the mechanical performance of a basic electrode. Thanks to its double coating, it is also suitable for welding transformers with a low open-circuit voltage (OCV) and can be used with both AC and DC.
- Double-coated basic low-hydrogen electrode
- Classification AWS A5.1 E7016 / EN ISO 2560-A E 38 2 B 32 H10
- Suitable for unalloyed and fine-grained steels
- Good welding properties with a stable arc and minimal spatter
- Suitable for AC and DC, even at low open-circuit voltage (min. 50 V OCV)
- Good mechanical properties and high radiographic weld quality
- VacPac packaging protects the electrodes against moisture absorption
OK 53.16 Spezial is used for structural steel, boiler plate, shipbuilding and other applications where a reliable basic electrode with good welding properties and a low hydrogen content is required. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
