OK 48.00 is a basic, low-hydrogen electrode for welding unalloyed, carbon-manganese and fine-grained steels. The electrode produces tough and crack-resistant weld metal and, thanks to its moisture-resistant coating (H4R), is suitable for structures subject to high loads and critical stress conditions. The stable arc, good penetration and high welding speed during vertical-up welding make OK 48.00 a widely used electrode for demanding applications.
OK 48.00 is used for steel structures, bridges, pressure vessels, shipbuilding and other critical structural works where a reliable welded joint with high toughness and a low hydrogen content is required.
