OK 46.00 is a universal rutile-cellulose welding electrode for welding unalloyed steels. The electrode is easy to use, even for less experienced welders, and produces a smooth weld with a stable arc in all welding positions, including vertical down. Thanks to its easy ignition and re-ignition, OK 46.00 is particularly suitable for short welds, tack welds and root passes. The slag is easy to remove and the electrode is also relatively insensitive to rust and light surface contamination.
OK 46.00 is used for general structural work, assembly, repair, maintenance and pipework. Thanks to its versatility and ease of use, it is one of the most widely used universal welding electrodes for unalloyed steel.
