Earth rod driver for demolition and chipping hammers

An earth rod driver drives earth rods and earthing electrodes into the ground with the impact force of a demolition or chipping hammer. That lets you set a reliable earth connection without manual hammering, faster and with less risk of a damaged rod head. The attachment fits the hammer and guides the blows straight onto the rod, so it goes into the soil tight and vertical.

Versions typically connect with an SDS-max holder and are matched to the common diameters of earth rods and electrodes. A holder or adapter centres the rod and prevents it from slipping during driving. Choose the attachment based on the rod diameter, the holder of your hammer and the desired length for deep driving. A sturdy version absorbs the blows without deforming quickly.

Watch the compatibility with your demolition hammer and the type of rod you are setting. Brands such as Makita, Bosch, Milwaukee and HiKOKI supply earth rod drivers and holders for installation work. That way you set every earth rod straight and deep, without ruining the head.
