Scotch® Fibre Reinforced Tape 8981 is designed to meet strapping, bundling or reinforcing packaging and non-packaging applications. Reinforced with continuous glass yarn. This high-quality tape provides good adhesion to many substrates and is often used for L- and U-clip closures and bundling.
With increased tensile strength, Scotch® Filament Tape 8981 offers a good solution for bundling pipes or reinforcing large bulk containers. Manufactured with a clear filament-reinforced polypropylene backing layer, this tape is abrasion, moisture, wear and tear resistant, even when cut or punctured. The multi-layer synthetic rubber adhesive system prevents delamination. The synthetic adhesive adheres well to various surfaces commonly used in packaging, such as corrugated board, fibreboard, plastics and metals.
