Product description
- Wheel rim can be depressed for effecient deburring, finishing and polishing of all metal alloys and many plastics and composites
- The robust, layered construction can be used in clockwise or anticlockwise direction
- The range of densities and coarsenesses from soft and deformable to hard and aggressive make the product suitable for a variety of applications
- Resists staining, reducing the time to clean the surface
- Minimises heat build-up to reduce impact on heat-sensitive substrates
Scotch-Brite Unitised Wheel XL-UW has a soft and malleable consistency that provides efficient deburring and finishing of edges of metal alloys, as well as many plastics and composites. There are different densities and coarsenesses starting from a very soft 2-density for applications requiring formability to a hard, aggressive 8-density for maximum cutting power and durability.
Use Scotch-Brite EXL unitised wheels for a neat finish on edges without streaking, so you spend less time on extra preparation and cleaning. Developed for optimum performance with a grinder, our wheels reduce heat build-up during use. This makes them ideally suited for use with heat-sensitive materials. They are filled with a mineral abrasive to quickly smoothen edges on metals, plastics and composites. Available with aluminium oxide or silicon carbide in different coarsenesses: fine, medium, coarse and extra coarse with aluminium oxide and fine and very fine with silicon carbide. Scotch-Brite abrasives consist of unique surface treatment products with abrasive minerals in a non-woven fibre layer. Combining abrasive minerals with non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. The material has an open web structure that keeps it cool during use and resists clogging, for optimum abrasive performance and fibres that are less likely to clog.
Suggested applications
- For levelling, deburring and finishing edges on metal alloys and all kinds of plastic composites
