- Excellent 'at-hand' adhesives for shop displays, box sealing, furniture, upholstery and woodworking
We have manufactured the 3M Melt Glue 3792 with thermoplastic resin that is 100% solids. The adhesive gives off minimal odour when heated, supporting a comfortable working environment. This adhesive offers fast and reliable performance when combined with our 3M Hot Melt guns designed to meet your hand application needs.
Our universal adhesive offers an opening time of 40 - 50 seconds, giving you enough time for positioning and refining applications on wood, polyethylene, polypropylene, corrugated cardboard boxes and lightweight substrates on furniture, upholstery and novelty items. With virtually instant adhesion, you can reduce production time for assembling shop displays, joining, fixing, fastening, repairing, moulding, panel bonding, wire bonding, bundling, sealing, encapsulating, reinforcing, foam bonding and packaging. We manufacture the 3M Hot Melt adhesive 3792 with 100% thermoplastic resin with 100% solids for use with the 3M Scotch-Weld Hot Melt gun LT, LT Quadrack or EC, depending on the version. The adhesive gives off minimal odour when heated, supporting a comfortable working environment. This thermoplastic adhesive has excellent thermal shock properties, heat resistance, electrical insulation and is also non-corrosive. About hot melt adhesives Hot melt adhesives/hot glue sticks have a relatively high melting point that lies between approximately 121 - 196 °C (250 - 380 °F), depending on the formulation, and are applied with hot melt guns (also called hot glue guns). Hot melt adhesives offer almost instant adhesion between many plastics, paper and wood, but when reheated, some types will soften, causing the bonded surfaces to loosen. With the naturally fast action of hot melt adhesives, you speed up operations in packaging and production environments. Low melt adhesives/hot glue sticks have a relatively low melting point that lies between about 76 - 121 °C (170 - 250 °F), depending on the formulation, and are applied with low-temperature guns (also called hot glue guns). The advantage of low-melt adhesives is that they can be used to bond heat-sensitive materials such as foams and a variety of plastics. They offer almost instant adhesion, but when reheated, some types will soften, loosening the bonded surfaces. The agre
