Clear replacement screens, visors and visor carriers for helmets and face shields

Replacement screens and visors are the clear or tinted screens you fit to a helmet, a face shield or goggles to protect eyes and face from splashes, particles and flying debris. They belong to the replacement screens, visors and welding filters for head and face protection.

Start with the system the screen has to fit. Honeywell has replacement screens for the Bionic range, JSP replacement lenses for the EVO Vista helmet and a visor bow with carrier that fits under earmuffs. Milwaukee supplies visors and face shields for the BOLT helmets, in a compact and a universal version. Bollé has a replacement screen for the Sphere and a visor for the Universal goggles, and there are also screens from 3M Speedglas and Tractel.

Then look at material and finish. Polycarbonate is impact resistant, acetate is the alternative, and a scratch-resistant coating keeps the view clear for longer. For work in bright light there are tinted screens, including one in tint 3, and Milwaukee has a mesh face shield. Replace a screen as soon as it is scratched or damaged, and keep an eye on the helmet's sweatband, which wears out too.
