Cordless impact wrench for heavy fastening work
A cordless impact wrench loosens and retightens bolts and nuts fast, even when they are seized solid. The tool combines high torque with the freedom of cord-free working, which makes it indispensable for assembly, maintenance and disassembly in the workshop or on the road. Models typically run on 12V for light work up to 18V and higher voltages for the toughest connections, with torque that can climb to well over 4000 Nm.
When choosing, watch the square drive, usually 1/2 inch, and the difference between a friction ring and a detent pin for changing sockets. A brushless motor gives more power and a longer run time per charge. Brands such as Milwaukee, Bosch, Makita, DeWalt and Metabo offer versions for a wide range of jobs, from tyre changes to steel construction.
Choose a lighter version for sustained overhead work and a powerful impact wrench when maximum torque is decisive. That way you finish every connection efficiently and reliably.
