Socket rails and magnetic strips for drawer and trolley
A socket rail keeps sockets in order and in size sequence, so you pick the right one without turning a drawer upside down. In a tool trolley or on a wall panel that saves searching at every step, and afterwards an empty position shows immediately which socket is still lying out on the job.
The versions differ in drive size and in mounting. Rails with fixed clips are made for 3/8" or 1/2" sockets, magnetic strips stay put on a steel wall or drawer base without fixings, and empty rails are supplied bare so you fill them with your own set. Check the drive size of your sockets, the number of positions you need and the length: versions from 200 mm to 580 mm fit both a narrow drawer and the full width of a trolley worktop.
Gedore, Facom, Wera, Milwaukee, Expert and Bahco each use their own rail system, so check that the clip spacing matches your sockets before you order. Fitting out the rest of the bench can go on with insert trays for the drawer layout, or a storage bin for loose parts.
