Festool electric sanders: ROTEX, eccentric, delta, orbital and PLANEX

Festool electric sanders are corded machines for sanding wood, board material, lacquer and filler. Joiners, painters and interior fitters pick the type here by the shape of the workpiece.

The ROTEX combines rotary and eccentric action and handles both heavy stock removal and fine finishing with one machine, in RO 90, RO 125 and RO 150 versions. ETS and ETS EC eccentric sanders come with a 3 or 5 mm stroke: a small stroke sands finer, a large stroke removes material faster. A delta sander reaches into corners and along edges, an orbital sander keeps large surfaces flat, and an edge sander sands narrow edges square.

For walls and ceilings there is the PLANEX long-neck sander at 400 W. Also compare the power, which runs from 250 W to 1600 W across this range, and whether you want the machine in a box or in a systainer. These machines belong to Festool electrical power tools.
