Product description
The proprietary SPAX drive T-STAR plus is a so-called inner hexagonal round. This shape increases the gripping surface in our T-STAR plus and the T-STAR plus bits have an optimal fit in the screw head. The optimal power transfer from the cordless screwdriver to the screw by T-STAR plus ensures smooth work, and much more efficiently than with any other drive.
In furniture assembly, nails in the side walls offer very little resistance to loosening. Here we have the better alternative with our rear wall screw, because the large flat head distributes the pressure over a larger area. The rear wall screw for corpus joints replaces the screw-help combination: it is screwed into the 5 mm euro perforation, centres itself and pulls both corpus parts together. The head of the corpus screws does not interfere with the installation of further parts, such as slide rails.
Part-threaded screws are very suitable for fastening thin building elements such as wooden panels and planks against thicker building elements such as squared timber or beams. The short thread enters the thick building element, the cordless shank remains in the building element fastened to it. This creates the maximum contact pressure between the two elements. The wireless section should correspond at least to the thickness of the construction element to be fixed.
The term 4CUT stands for the four-sided shape of the screw tip. These four sides displace the wood fibres during screw-in, making room for the core diameter of the screw. The spreading pressure, which the core exerts in the wood, is thus reduced and splitting of the wood close to the edge is prevented. The required torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced because the core of the screwdriver does not have to "wriggle" through the wood.
