Product description
The SPAX screw for acoustic cladding has been specially developed for invisible installation on wooden substructures and meets the highest requirements for stability, efficiency and aesthetics. On average, around 10 screws per m² are required for efficient installation. With the SPAX screw for acoustic cladding, you get a durable and professional solution for the secure and visually attractive fixing of acoustic cladding - ideal for use in living areas, offices or public buildings.
The SPAX-typical T-STAR plus drive is a so-called hexalobular socket. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus and the T-STAR plus bits sit perfectly in the screw head. Thanks to the best possible power transfer from screwdriver to screw with T-STAR plus, you can work quickly and much more efficiently than with other drives.
Thanks to the small cylinder head, the SPAX screw for acoustic panelling fits perfectly into a 4 mm acoustic joint. This means that an almost invisible fastening is possible because the small cylinder head fits flush into the wood.
Thanks to the full thread, the screw offers maximum holding power and prevents material displacement; in contrast to partial threads, the full thread extends the full length of the screw. The more thread a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be transferred from the screw to the wood.
The term 4CUT stands for the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibres during screwing and create space for the core diameter of the screw. The expansion pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced and splitting of the wood near the edge is prevented. The torque required by the cordless screwdriver is also lower because the core of the screw does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.
With WIROX, SPAX has developed a coating that is far superior to galvanisation in terms of corrosion protection. No chrome(VI) is used with WIROX, the screws are just as resilient, even after years in outdoor applications not directly exposed to the weather, and are also environmentally friendly. WIROX screws are the first choice for all open structures without direct weather exposure, such as carports or pergolas.
