Behind the scenes - Stand build Milan Congress

Bridge Event Facilities has been a trusted name in the event industry for the last 30 years. They design and build sustainable stalls and stands for trade fairs, events, and conferences, organize virtual and on-site events, and provide advice for the design of vaccination centres. During our introduction to this company, one thing quickly became clear: Sustainability is high on the agenda in all aspects of the business.

Bridge Event Facilities - A quick look behind the scenes

A little bit of history

Large stand for Terrapay

Bridge Event Facilities was founded in 1987 by René Verbruggen. At the time, it was known as a one-man business Partysound. Over the years, the company has grown and adopted ‘Bridge Event Facilities’ in 2000. In the last 20 years, the company has expanded into a multifunctional player at trade fairs and conferences. With a large factory in Schijndel (Brabant) and their own transportation facilities, everything is kept in-house, from concept to realisation.

Sustainable concepts and build

Stand for SEIKO

Sustainability is paramount at Bridge Event Facilities — reflected in environmentally friendly transportation devices, sustainable packaging, green energy, and proper care for all employees. Group transport is often preferred to reduce CO2 emissions even more. This way multiple projects travel together to various destinations. They get green energy from a nearby solar park with more than 4,800 solar panels installed. All parts of the stands are also kept modular, so there is no need for heavy mechanical equipment. Packaging material is recyclable, and during breaks, the in-house staff can enjoy healthy fresh food from their own kitchen. All this ensures that Bridge Event Facilities has an advantage in the event industry.

Hybrid Congresses

Virtual Congress

Hybrid conferences are a relatively new concept. It is a combination of a physical conference that can also be attended in Virtual Reality. Bridge Event Facilities has been designing virtual conferences since 2017 and has regularly combined the two since then. The biggest advantage of a hybrid conference is the increased exposure. You can either visit the event on the road or from behind your computer. By integrating interactive platforms, where you can come into direct contact with exhibitors, the success of these hybrid conferences has only increased.

Sustainable stand construction

Modular stand build

The stand construction itself is also completed sustainably. The choice of material is crucial. All materials are either recyclable or intended for reuse. In addition to purchasing, you can rent these stands, extending their total lifespan. Finally, the artwork from the panels of the stands can be disconnected and given a new purpose, allowing it to be used in a showroom or business premises.

Sustainable Design

Milwaukee all the way

We are big fans of the Milwaukee storage systems. In the past, we have worked with other brands and encountered problems because they were not sturdy enough for our use. However, since using Milwaukee Packout, we no longer have any problems. Milwaukee Packout has ideal sizes for loading into our vehicles, making it suitable to fit in with the rest of the load. The handles are also sturdy enough to secure the sets with tension straps.

We also transport many parts for mounting the stand construction systems in the Packout tool cases.

The Milwaukee Jobsite Cooler and the Packout XL Cooler keep drinks cool for a surprisingly long time, and the 1st Packout storage hooks and Packout holders are now also in use in our warehouse.
