The FEV300 test adapter kit with type 1 and type 2 connectors is designed to test the operation and safety of charging stations, mode 3, for charging AC traction batteries. The adapter imitates an electric vehicle and starts a charging cycle, activating the voltage/current output, allowing you to perform tests in combination with suitable measuring instruments such as an installation tester (Fluke 1664 FC) and/or an oscilloscope (Fluke 120B series). The adapter set allows charging stations to be tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61851-1 and IEC/HD 60364-7-722.
Use the FEV300-CON-TY1 Type 1 plug to connect to an EV charging station with a Type 1 vehicle connector. Use the FEV300-CON-TY2 Type 2 plug to connect to a Type 2 EV Charging Station with a wall socket or to connect to a Type 2 EV Charging Station with a vehicle connector.
Perform various tests including ground fault checks, wire insulation, voltage measurement and duty cycle to see the max current available for charging an all-in-one adapter that can be safely integrated into the Fluke portfolio of test and measuring instruments. The FEV300 allows you to simulate a CP fault (E) and PE fault (earth fault) and provides separate phase indication with three LED lights to easily check if voltage is present. There is no need to bring an electric vehicle on site for troubleshooting at the charging station: the adapter acts as an electric vehicle when connected to a charging station for simple performance and maintenance testing.
