Product description

Just like roller chains, conveyor chains can be made according to various international standards. The main standards are:

British Standard (BS)
  • This standard applies to chains made for the UK market and for markets where UK presence has had a major impact on technical design and purchasing behavior. This standard is based on the original transport chain design from Renold.
ISO Standard chains
  • Chains made according to the ISO Standard are not interchangeable with chains made according to the BS or DIN Standard.
  • This standard is widely used on the European market, except in Germany.
  • Necklaces made to this standard are becoming increasingly popular and are widely used in Scandinavia.
  • Renold has a lot of experience with the production of conveyor chains.
  • Renold conveyor chains are based on many years of design and development, so that we can deliver the optimum product.
  • To guarantee that this quality is reflected in the performance of our products, we carry out strict checks on:
    • Materials
    • Heat treatment
    • Processes
    • Fits
    • Attachment assembly
    • Lubrication
    • Conveyor Chain Exploded View
Ultimate Renold reliability
  • The key to the reliability of Renold chains is consistency in design and production.
  • The maximum strength and wear resistance of the chains are achieved by strictly checking the material specification and by using the most modern heat treatment processes.
  • The consistent overall tolerance of Renold chains makes them ideal for conveyor systems that require precise alignment of various chain mechanisms.
  • The breaking load is greater than the internationally required minimum.
  • For optimum performance it is important to choose the right chain.
  • The experienced Renold design team is always at your disposal for free advice on specific products and applications.
  • Standard and Deep Link conveyor chains are available for BS4116 part 4 and for ISO 1977, with both hollow and solid pins.
Extra strong standard transport chain
  • In addition to our standard range of conveyor chains according to the British Standard, we offer this extra strong chain that is suitable for transport applications that require ultimate tensile strength (breaking load).
  • Every chain has the same dimensions as its normal counterpart.
  • An extra strong chain of 11,000 kilos (24,000 lbs), for example, has the same dimensions as a normal chain of 5500 kilos (12,000 lbs).
  • This chain is used extensively for the transport of animal feed and unpackaged foods such as grain, corn, wheat and raw food mixtures.
  • In most of these applications, scrap conveyor systems are used with large distances between the gears. Such systems sometimes move slowly, with little or no shock load.
